Students created everything from models of houseboats to homes to commercial buildings during the past semester. SketchUp is a 3D modeling software to help designers make more informed decisions, communicate project details, and share ideas with colleagues and customers to reach a common goal.
Students were intrigued using SketchUp on their classroom computers to allow them to export files so that Pepakura Designer can see them and print them out as paper models. Wayne County High School students are using the same software programs that business professionals use to design some very interesting structural models in their Art Video Production class.
